Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Yes Ma'am's Cleaning ("Yes Ma'am's," "we," "us," or "our") provides residential and small-business cleaning services in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. This policy explains what personal information we collect through yesmaamscleaning.com, our customer and technician portals, and the services we provide, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to customers, people who request a quote, people who access an invoice, and people who create or use an account.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: first name, middle name (optional), last name, email address, phone number, and home or service address.
- Account details: the password you create (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), profile information, and preferences.
- Quote and booking details: the service you want, home size, job location, preferred dates and times, notes, and any photos or files you send us.
- Service history: jobs, appointments, technician notes, completion information, invoices, and payment status.
- Communications: emails, messages, and other information you send to Kate or Steph or to our support email.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and related transaction details. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Information from sign-in providers
You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google. We are preparing Microsoft and Facebook sign-in; when those options become available, this policy applies to them too. If you choose a sign-in provider, it sends us a limited profile: your name, email address, profile-image URL, and an account identifier. We use that information to create or link your account and to greet you in the portal. These providers do not give us your phone number or home address, and we do not receive your provider password, contacts, friends list, or other social data.
| Sign-in option | What we receive | What we do not receive |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, profile image URL, Google account identifier. | Password, phone number, home address, contacts, calendar, or files. | |
| Microsoft | Name, email address or sign-in name, profile image URL, Microsoft account identifier. | Password, phone number, home address, contacts, calendar, or files. |
| Name, email address (if you grant the email permission), profile image URL, Facebook account identifier. | Password, phone number, home address, friends list, posts, or messages. |
If a sign-in provider does not return an email address, or if you decline the email permission, we may not be able to complete sign-in. We will ask you to use another sign-in method or contact us for help.
Guest quotes and the lightweight account we create for you
You can request a quote without creating a password. When you do, we create a lightweight account behind the scenes using the name, email address, phone number, and address you provide, so your quote and service history can be kept together. You do not need to know a password to use it. If you later sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Facebook using the same email address, we link that sign-in to the same record so you can see your existing quotes, jobs, and invoices. If you use a different email address, the new sign-in may create a separate record; contact us and we can help reconcile it.
Guest invoice access
If you access an invoice without an account, we ask for the phone number and invoice number associated with the job. The verified pair is kept in your browser's session storage for the current tab so you do not have to re-enter it on the invoice page. It is not used to create an account unless you separately request a quote or book a service.
Information collected automatically
- Session and account storage: our authentication provider stores a session token in your browser so you can stay signed in. We use browser storage for login state and, for guest invoice access, session storage for the verified invoice lookup.
- Technical and error data: our hosting, database, authentication, and error-monitoring providers may collect IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, timestamps, and error details. We use this to keep the site working, investigate failures, and protect against abuse.
- No advertising cookies: we do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
2. How we use personal information
- Prepare quotes, schedule and perform cleaning services, and manage jobs.
- Create and maintain accounts, authenticate you, and link a sign-in provider to your existing record.
- Send service-related emails, including quote and booking confirmations, reminders, completion notices, invoices, and receipts.
- Process payments and maintain billing, tax, and accounting records.
- Respond to questions, provide support, and resolve disputes.
- Protect the security and integrity of the site, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug errors.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
- Improve our services using aggregated or de-identified information.
3. Legal bases
Where required by law, we process personal information to perform a contract with you (providing the services you request), with your consent (for example, when you choose a sign-in provider or ask us to send certain communications), for our legitimate interests (operating and securing the business, improving our services, and communicating about your job), and to comply with legal obligations. If you have questions about the basis we rely on in your case, contact us.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run the service, and we do not sell it.
- Service providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Sentry (error monitoring), and GitHub Pages (hosting). These providers process information on our behalf or as independent providers under their own privacy policies.
- Sign-in providers: if you choose Google, Microsoft, or Facebook, that provider processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy. We receive only the limited profile described above.
- Professional advisers: accountants, lawyers, and insurers when needed for business operations.
- Business transfers: if the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
- With your consent: for any other purpose you authorize.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account and profile information while your account is active. We keep quote, job, invoice, payment, and service records for as long as needed for business, tax, accounting, insurance, and legal purposes, and to resolve disputes. If you delete your account, we may keep records that the law or our legitimate business needs require, and we may keep a limited suppression record so we can honor your request. Backups are kept for a limited period and then rotated. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, row-level security in our database, and hashed passwords through our authentication provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can review and update your name, phone number, and address in the Customer Portal under "Update Details," or contact us.
- Deletion: you can delete your account in the Customer Portal, or follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page. Some records may be retained as described above.
- Sign-in connections: you can revoke our access in your Google, Microsoft, or Facebook account settings. Contact us if you want us to unlink a sign-in from your cleaning account.
- Communications: we send service-related emails because they are part of providing the service. If we send marketing emails in the future, you can opt out using the link in the email or by contacting us.
- Browser storage: you can clear browser storage or block it in your browser settings, but blocking the login session will prevent you from staying signed in.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to appeal a decision. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Children
Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Third-party links and services
Our site and emails may link to third-party sites, such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Stripe, or review platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it changed. If a change is material, we may also notify you by email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the site or services after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
